Seymour Bloodstock clocks milestone

The Racing.com Park win of The Andrew Noblet trained Napoleons War last week clocked up a milestone for Darren Thomas’ Seymour Bloodstock. “Mark Pilkington and I have been selectively sourcing stock and we have 20 3yos and on our books that we have either bred or bought as yearlings or tried horses”, said Thomas. “Of the 17 to get to the track Napoleons War became our 14th individual winner this season ( 82.4% W/R strike rate). To have won 28 races and have 5 individual stakes winners ( 35.7%  SW/W strike rate – He’s Our Rokkii, Keen Array, Don’t Doubt Mama, Risque, Extra Choice ) from this group has been most satisfying. Most of our horses are on HTPs ( a discounted prepaid annual training package developed by Pilkington) which has made the journey all the more enjoyable for my partners. We can’t thank our trainers enough- David Hayes, Andrew Noblet, Cairon Maher, Tony McEvoy, Leon MacDonald and Johnny McArdle have all won with a 3yo of mine this season.” He added. Heorshe’s big win in the Group 2 Blamey Stakes in the famous Gary Lechte colours provided the Spring highlight for Seymour Bloodstocks older brigade.

Seymour Bloodstock’s now familiar colours will be seen in other stables next season as Gai Waterhouse, Bjorn Baker, Anthony Cummings, Phillip Stokes, Neville Parnham, Clinton MacDonald and Jason Warren all have young horses for Thomas. ‘We have also given support to Trent Bussutin and Natalie Young who are moving to Cranbourne. They and their clients have embraced our discounted pre payment model ( HTP). They have an outstanding record with Victorian and AJC Derbys already in their trophy cabinet. We have 4 horses in work with them and look forward to their Aussie debuts. ” said Thomas.
